Irrigation System
By becoming a member of this group, farmers will gain access to information about available irrigation systems and receive a future water management action plan.
The group will assess available water sources like rivers, wells, and boreholes through water testing in laboratories. Based on soil quality (such as salinity, slope, drainage capacity), the most suitable irrigation system and water usage guidelines will be recommended.
For saline soils, appropriate water usage will be suggested to avoid soil degradation, while methods like hydroponics will be explored for sloped or highly draining lands.
Farmers using well water will be provided with scientific methods for water source rejuvenation. Additionally, those interested in digging borewells will receive guidance on proper water testing and borewell drilling techniques, as well as rainwater harvesting methods.
